My Latest Ceramic Work

My latest pottery piece is a sculpture made on the pottery wheel. In oredert o create it I have made a cylinder ( first thing you need to learn when throwing on a wheel ) then I have trimmed it and flattened it to create a hollow vessel, then sculpted it.

After that I have made clay slips using stains to paint on a semi abstract design based on the sea hills and birds with a viking boat.

Lets see how it turns out after firing
