Dear Art Enthusiasts,
Welcome to my Autumn newsletter! I'm pleased to share the latest happenings and new class offerings with you.
I am proud to announce that my student Elizabeth gained an A* in art at A Level and won the Queens School art prize. She started art classes with me age 8 and it has been an honour to watch her grow up. She is now off to Cambridge University, best of luck Elizabeth.

I am now teaching private tutorials at my new studio in my garden in Parkgate.

Artist's Corner: Creating Depth in Landscape Paintings
Many of you have asked about creating more realistic landscape paintings. Here are three quick tips to enhance depth and dimension in your work:
Use aerial perspective—make distant objects lighter and less detailed than those in the foreground
Incorporate a strong foreground element to establish scale and draw the viewer in
Layer your colors strategically—cooler tones for background, warmer tones for foreground elements
