My Practice & Services
While my core focus is the creation and exhibition of original fine art, I am passionate about helping others understand, appreciate, and engage with artistic practice. I offer select, low-stress consultations and tuition in a peaceful, welcoming environment designed to support mental well-being and shared learning.
• Original Artwork: Direct acquisition of fine art, paintings, and studio pieces.
• Technical Consultations: Expert guidance on processes, materials, and technical execution across painting, ceramics, and design crafts.
• Relaxed Private Tuition: Gentle, low-pressure mentoring for individuals looking to explore technique, build confidence, and learn within a calm, supportive setting.
My Background
I am a practicing fine artist with a career spanning over three decades, driven by a deep respect for the heritage, ethics, and intrinsic value of creative work. Raised in a lineage of bohemian artist and artisans—including the famous silversmith Dunstan Pruden, and a family of painters and potters—creativity is my lifelong work.
I am primarily a painter and ceramicist. I studied at Plymouth College of Art & Design before living in near San Francisco California and then in Mexico where I studied printmaking, drawing and painting at the Taller Rufino Tamayo art school in Oaxaca, Mexico. I returned to the U.K after 10 years abroad to study a B.A in Fine at the University of Liverpool and then trained as a high school art teacher before starting the art school 'Art In Chester."
I have exhibited periodically since the 90s including shows in California, Mexico, St Edmund Hall, University of Oxford, and Chester Cathedral.
