The Artist’s Background

I am a professional landscape painter and specialist in representational drawing. My personal practice is dedicated to the study of light, form, and the atmospheric textures of the natural world. From my private studio in Parkgate—a historic Grade II* listed setting overlooking the Dee Estuary—I create bespoke commissions and fine art landscapes that capture the unique spirit of the Cheshire coast.

My teaching is an extension of this professional practice. I provide a "pro-standard" level of tuition, equipping students with the technical tools and observational skills needed to master their chosen medium, from the precision of charcoal to the fluidity of oils.

All group classes are held at our dedicated workshop in Great Barrow, Chester. This space is designed for hands-on learning, where we explore the Imperfectly Perfect" nature of the creative process.

Adult Group Workshops: A social and creative environment focusing on foundational and experimental art techniques. It is a place to connect with other makers while developing your own artistic voice.

Teen Fine Art Workshops: A professional-standard class for young artists (ages 13–18). We treat our teens as contemporary professionals, teaching them advanced drawing and painting skills in a space that encourages both technique and experimentation.
