I am a painter, ceramicist and teacher, originally from Exmoor Devon. I grew up surrounded by art and crafts through my family and absorbed it all to end up as I am. I lived in California and Mexico for 7 years, which had a big influence on me and I retain my connection to the wonderful artistic city of Oaxaca. I really love the Welsh landscape and anything old and magical, which you can see in my personal work.
I studied art in both the UK and Mexico, have a BA in Fine Art from the University of Liverpool and trained as an art teacher at the University of Chester.
I have had a number of exhibitions, mostly in Mexico and the U.S.A.
Bellow you can see my posts from my artists Instagram, including some of my latest art work.
I taught Art in Cheshire schools for 10 years, helping young students with art exams and enjoyment of the subject. Now I teach all ages and abilities from my studio in Great Barrow. As traditional observational drawing and painting is now little taught in mainstream education, my classes do just that; teaching classical skills in a stimulating, creative and friendly environment. You can also take part in one of my Saturday pottery workshops as an introduction to ceramics.

In these short courses you will quickly learn end high skills of realistic drawing or painting and gain the confidence to start doing your own work from pastel portraits to landscapes in oils.
These lovely, little classes teach children wonderful drawing and painting skills in a creative, safe environment. I work with the individual child to develop their technique and confidence, so classes are based on student ability level.
These small, sociable classes enrich my teen student's confidence and ability in the art of observational drawing and painting. They are separated in to levels, so that I can work with individuals to nurture their talent.
My long running and popular adult class is a hoot but you learn a lot! My students keep me on my toes with their thirst for more, so I always keep learning fresh and active.
My gorgeous class where you can enjoy a mix of creative and technique based projects together. As the focus is still on academic learning, children under 8 years will struggle.
These workshops are an introduction for students to take part in the joy of pottery. I work with you in regard to your interests and what you would like to learn.
